THE PRAYING PLAYER by Awotiku Akinlayo David Some mindsets has been generalized about instrumentalists in this dispensation of time, it is either they are not born again, or some are not fervent in prayers while some are not worded, they are just bunch of unserious and immature Christians. The assumption is obviously visible among most church instrumentalists. However this article is mainly for born again instrumentalists. Correcting the mindset of people about instrumentalists is the first thing. It has become a modus operandi that people assume that most instrumentalists are not spiritual because we just keep playing instruments when prayers are going on during a concert or program (I’m an organist). Many will be on social media when sermons are going on while some will even walk out of the auditorium to discuss in groups outside and come in when it is time to sing.
