THE AUTHORITY OF A BELIEVER

(Final part) Authority  in  itself  is  not  when  you  have  power,  it’s  when  you  can  control  power  whichever  way you  desire.  It  is  until  you  know  your  God  that  you  can  do  exploits  (Dan.11:32),  it’s  a  gradual process  like  I  said  earlier,  the  more  you  keep  knowing  more  of  God,  the  more  exploits  you  do. Also  you  must note that knowledge  is the basis  at  which  believers’  authority  is  built  on,  when  you don’t  know  you  carry  fire,  you  will  be  fired,  in  fact,  when  God  created  man,  He  told  him  to dominate  and  take ...

THE AUTHORITY OF A BELIEVER

First part It  is  very  annoying  anytime  I  think  on  how  Christians  of  today  are  been  cheated,  jilted,  ride-on and  exploited  both  spiritually  and  physically  despite  the  great  power  that  dwells  within  us.  The word  ‘Believer’  is  not  just  an  ordinary  word  used  for  ordinary  person,  it  is  extraordinary  which carry  power  (Jh.1:12).  Believers  has  been  given  power  to  be  called  the  son  of  God,  the  efficacy  of the  sons  of  God  can  never  be  overemphasized,  when  you  believe,  you  become  son  of  God because  you  now have  the  sp...

WHAT IF HE DECIDED NOT TO DO IT?

(final part) by Awotiku Akinlayo David Continuation..... Until  we  start  seeing  difficulties  as  refreshment  of  our  patience,  as  tests  of  our  faith, until then,  we  can’t  serve  God  rightly.  There  are  several  dangers  we  will  pray  against  and  it  will  be  as if  God  has  decided  not  to  answer  the  prayers,  probably  He  is  testing  your  faith  or  He  is  using such  little  dangers  to  save  us  from  bigger  ones,  imagine  God  allowing  a  boy  skating  to  fall  and wound  his  leg  just  because  there  is  a  bigger  falling  in  the  front  that ...

WHAT IF HE DECIDED NOT TO DO IT?

Part two Continuation.......... The  level  of  our  relationship  and  closeness  to  God  will  help  us  to  always  desire  for what  we  need. Let  me  expatiate,  we  can  only  know  what  we  need  when  we  know  our purpose  and  we  can  only  know  our  purpose  when  we  move  nearer  to  God  and  learn  of  Him, our  divine  purpose  can  only  be  fulfilled  when  we  know  from  Divine  God  and  ask  for  what  we need  to  fulfil  it.  *It  is  maturity  when  you  ask  God  for  spiritual  things  than  material things  in your prayers,*  when  we  focus ...

WHAT IF HE DECIDED NOT TO DO IT?

Part One(Jam.1:2-9)  It’s  very  obvious  today  that  many  ‘so  called  Christians’  of  nowadays  believes  God  but  not  to  the extent that there are  many  things He will  not do and  that doesn’t make  Him  bad  nor  stop  him from  being God.  There  are  4  things God  will  not  do: *What He can’t do,  like  make  mistakes or  commit  mistakes *What He  has done,  like forgives  all sins,  blotted  out  every  family  or foundational curses, and  healed us already  of  every sickness and  the  likes. *What  you  yourself  can  do,  like  you  prayed  to  God  for  food  and  after  God  provided everything  for  you,  you ...

I AM AN ANGLICAN BUT NOT AN ANGLICAN

Final part Let the word dwell richly in you, [Col.3:16], renew your mind with the word of God on daily basis, [Rom.12:2] study to show yourself approved so that you can rightly divide the word of truth, [2Tim.2:15] allow the Holy Spirit to explain to you, ask question spiritually and you will get answers spiritually, all you have to do is to be very sensitive and know how God speaks to you. I do tell people, ‘I don’t explain God’s word to convince you into accepting what I say, I open your eyes to the truth so that you can go home with keen aspiration to know, understand and meditate on what I told you, and then the Holy Spirit will do His work by convincing you Himself.’ This is how we should always take our pastors’ teachings and church doctrines. Like I said, Jesus is the only doctrine that bible gave us and that God recognizes, all other church doctrines are encapsulated in this one doctrine based on their understanding leading to revelation of the truth of the word of God. Let t...

I AM AN ANGLICAN BUT NOT AN ANGLICAN

Part 3 I am proud to be an Anglican but my meditations are not in any way Anglicalistic (if there is any English like that), I get vast knowledge and understanding of the word of God through the help of the Holy Spirit far above any church doctrines. We have a great misconception of why there is church doctrine/principle not knowing that church doctrine also helps to learn more of the bible in practical ways. This is very true but it’s not correct to reason within the circle of a particular church doctrine or else its end can be disastrous. I’m not moved when there is news of a pastor caught in fornication or drunkenness, we are born again but we still have flesh desires in us and are being tempted to yield to those desires [Jam.1:13-14], and sometimes we follow our evil or selfish desires [Gal.5:17], so I don’t condemn such person rather I pray for him to gain more knowledge of God and to love God more so that they understand how insulting sin is to us as believers, actually punishm...

I AM AN ANGLICAN BUT NOT AN ANGLICAN

Part 2 Well… let me shock you that God will not judge or reward us congregationally or doctrinally, it will be individualistic, bible says “…He is not unjust that he will forget the labor of YOUR love.” The great reason why there must be fellowship is to strengthen our faith through each other and build ourselves together [Prov.27:17], it is also to show love which is the essence of your faith and to test our faith through imperfect believers which is a very good intention. A line in Anglican’s apostles creed says “…we believe in the CATHOLIC church, the communion of saints...” catholic in this context does not mean Catholic Church as denomination, it means Unity, oneness, United, togetherness. Now, when I declared that I’m not an Anglican, it doesn’t mean I disown Anglican already, no! it means my knowledge is not limited to Anglicanism, I am far beyond that, I’m now into Pentecostalism of Anglicanism, the only doctrine I know and bounded to is Jesus’ doctrine: what the bible says,...

I AM AN ANGLICAN BUT NOT AN ANGLICAN

Part 1 I was discussing with a friend of mine via WhatsApp just of recent, the discussion led to a conclusion that I said ‘they are Anglican like us’ but he replied ‘they are not Anglican like us’. Yes! We may be Anglican but we differ from each other. This gave me inspiration to write on this funny and seeming contradicting topic. I’m sorry I’m going to be very practical in this article so please bear with me. When I say I’m an Anglican, it means I was born into Anglican church, my parents are Anglican, I got baptized and confirmed in Anglican, I also got born again in the same Anglican church and hence, I became addicted to Anglican church. I fell in love with their doctrine especially the hymns and classical songs because all are biblical and help in my spiritual growth. I love to be a member of the pioneer church in Nigeria. Going by the history of Nigeria, Anglican started both Christianity and education in Nigeria, our missionaries are radical Christians who loved evangelism m...
