Final Episode Here is a little lesson Jesus taught us about our enemies (Matt.5:43-48). ‘Enemies’ was explained by Jesus in the same verse 44 ‘But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;’ the contextual meaning of ‘enemies’ here refers to human being persecuting us not the devil which is the real enemy. Jesus understood clearly what we termed to be enemies in our human understanding since he was also human as at that time. Jesus told us to love them, give gifts to them and be good to them, bless them and pray for them that they might also come to the knowledge of the truth, this is when you are showing that indeed you are truly a child of God, it shows you are a merciful child just as your father in heaven is merciful (Other reference on this is in Lk.6:27-36), It means you are portraying your father’s attributes. Episode 2 The truth is that when you pray for their death and they eventually die, you are wasting souls and you are trading them with devil free of charge because your success is even with God not with devil. Devil is the main enemy of Christ and Christ already defeated him, in the real sense he is powerless over us, hence he uses unbelievers to threaten us by trying to kill, steal and destroy us, it is not in your position to destroy any enemies as Christians by prayer, you can but you shouldn’t do that, however you can nullify their plans and destroy their works through prayer spiritually, that is very good but I urge you not to pray for their deaths because human may die, the real enemy which is the devil will never die, all he just have to do is to find another available vessel to use against you.
