GOD’S NATURE: GOD IS LIFE

Prayer: And to Jesus who has justified us in his redemption, in whom we av forgiveness of sins, be glory and honor forever more. Lord as we study about u tonight, grant us a clear vision and revelation of ur word so that it can give light to our ways in Jesus name. Open us to a new realm of the spiritual truth in Jesus name. For in Jesus name we have prayed. Glory! Hallelujah!

I'm so elated and excited to be part of this house this evening. My joy is inexpressible. I don't know how to express this joy.

We are going to talk about God (his nature) tonight.

Who is really God? Is it his name or he has another name? Do I really know him?

Now let's check the first place God was mentioned in the bible.

Genesis 1:1 – ‘In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.’

God in this context, according to d Greek word, it was taken from the word "elohim" and elohim is a plural word.

Therefore initially we are supposed to have Gods in that context. But calm down, we are going somewhere.

Let's quickly go down to verse 26 where God said 'let US (plural) make man in OUR (plural) own Image (singular) and after our (plural) likeness (singular)

Can u see some English bombs (blunder) here?

Please I'm not saying God is tabon oyinbo o (blowing English blunder).

If he is God then he knows what he is saying.

He can never lie neither can he make mistakes.

One thing about God is that everything that pertains to his nature is Alive

Let's check again, after forming man, bible said he breath d breathe of life into his nostril and d man became a living being at once.

Even His air from his nose has life, his image has life, his sound has life, his light has life even his word has life.

How powerful is this our God

As I was saying, God is the source of life, d giver of life.

I love this God. When u talk about God, u talk about life and he is the producer of life, he chairman eternal life, and gives life to anyone that wishes to have it.

There is nothing about God that can be qualified as 'it' because everything about him is a different entity in the same personality.

And thats y we tagged him Trinity.

Origin of Life

Of the Hebrew terms, ḥāyāh is the verb which means "to live," "to have life," or the vital principle, "to continue to live," or "to live prosperously." In the Piel it signifies "to give life, or preserve, or quicken and restore life." The Hiphil is much like the Piel. The noun hayyı̄m generally used in the plural is an abstract noun meaning "life," i.e. the possession of the vital principle with its energies and activities. Nephesh often means "living being" or "creature." Sometimes it has the force of the reflexive "self." At other times it refers to the seat of the soul, the personality, the emotions, the appetites - passions and even mental acts. Frequently it means "life," the "seat of life," and in this way it is used about 171 times in the Old Testament, referring to the principle of vitality in both men and animals. Rūaḥ signifies "wind," "breath," principle or source of vitality, but is never used to signify life proper.

It is God's nature to give life, when Adam and Eve was warned, he said if u eat from this tree, u will die

Now, death is not the opposite of life, it is the absence of life.

God didn't say if u eat, I will collect my life back, he said they will die,

Meaning God truly can take his life from anyone but it is part of His nature that he will not take his life from anyone.  Never ever!

So the nature of God is to give and give life to d dead, d only dead person on earth is not d one who  was killed by possibly gun and accident and buried in grave, d only dead person on earth is THOSE WITHOUT CHRIST

Don't forget what I said, God's things can never be regarded as things because they are alive and active.

So even if it’s a nonsense living thing in your sight, so far its from God, my brother, It is no more an ‘it’ but a ‘He’ because it comes from a living God and hence it is alive.

I believe we can learn one thing today that a perfect nature of God is life.

Thank you Jesus for ur word that reached us this night. We pray for an illumination to get clear understanding of the word in Jesus name. We know your word is active and alive, let ur word give life to every dead things in our life in Jesus name. Thank you for the answered prayer. For in Jesus name we have prayed.
