                              PURPOSE: WHAT IS A PURPOSE? WHY AM I EXISTING
Let's pray
Father we thank u for everyone here, thank u for taking good care of us. Thank u for giving ur love to us. Thank u for ur word in us and ur spirit in us. Lord as we study on purpose, help us to have a fundamental understanding of the foundation or source of our existence in Jesus name. Help us to define why we are living in Jesus name. We will not err from ur purpose for our life in Jesus name. Amen
Tonight, we will be talking on some fundamental things about purpose
Genesis 1:1 started with ‘In the beginning, God...!’
John 1:1 as well, in the beginning was the word!
And Revelation said "I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and d end." _who is talking here house?_
Revelation 21:6, 22:13 for reference and Revelation 1:8 as well
This means that God is the source of ALL THINGS, Rev.4:11 says and we do sing it every time that:
‘Thou art worthy O lord, to receive glory, honor and power. For Thou art created ALL THINGS AND FOR THY PLEASURE they are and were created.’
God started everything in him and through him and for him.
It is not something he needed but something he wanted, he is intentional about our existence.
If u don't know God then u can't fulfill purpose even if u keep fulfilling ur dreams and visions but ur purpose defines your existence not ur dream Selah!
God created each and every one for a reason, there is a general reason and there is an individual reason.
But d first thing to ask yourself is Do I know God as d source of my purpose?
Now let us define purpose!
It is said that when u don't know d reason at which something is created, abuse is inevitable.
It is very true because it will be very stupid to start using potty to eat! How horrible it is!
D reason why a bed was made is to bring convenience for us while we sleep.
D reason we put bulb up high in a room is to make use of the light it is producing, u can't say u want to cook it because same looks like egg. Its not possible.
There is a purpose for a manufacturer to produce a drum, a tank and a bucket.
There is a reason y u are alive
Col. 1:15-16 – ‘We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's orig­inal purpose in ev­ery­thing cre­ated. For ev­ery­thing, absolutely ev­ery­thing, above and be­low, vis­ible and invis­ible, rank af­ter rank af­ter rank of an­gels ev­ery­thing got started in him and finds its purpose in him.’
D statement was made 'Let us make man in our own IMAGE' two weeks ago we said the image of God is the Word which is Jesus.
If God created everything then there must be a reason y he created man and it is to fit into his image which is Jesus.
Hence, anyone that does not know Jesus does not know his purpose because everything God created finds ITS PURPOSE IN HIM (JESUS) not Mohammed, not Obatala, Not in angels, not even in Paul or Abraham or Pastors.
But Jesus and Jesus alone. Nothing more nothing less
Like I said, our dreams, goals, objectives, visions, plans or target are never our purpose in life because WE SET THEM OURSELVES.
Its like building a robot so that it could help u in doing some tough things or stressful things, u build d robot to help u in making works easier for u especially embarking in a tough project. That is d purpose of the robot existence.
And one day d robot just decided to start doing something else like partying and dancing and fighting in cages etc, he set up a target that he will fight 100 fights in a year and start working towards it instead of helping u in ur project.
One day u can just think of destroying d robot because he has decided to go away from his purpose and do something else.
So I’m repeating this again – ‘God is d source of Purpose because he created everything’
Be aware that u don't use God to fulfill ur dreams and visions and goal instead u allow him to use u in fulfilling his purpose for your life. Selah
Bible says (I paraphrase) – ‘its in Christ that we find out WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE ARE LIVING FOR long before we first heard of Christ and got hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
Three insights into your purpose from this verse is this:
1. U discover your identity and purpose through a relationship with Jesus
2. God was thinking of you long before u ever thought about him. His purpose for life predates your conception.
3. The purpose of your life fits into a much larger, cosmic purpose that God has designed for eternity.
Please I beg u to think on these things.
By now I believe u should have been aware that ur life is not for fun.
Ur life is meaningful, there is a reason y u are yet to die, there is a reason y u are male or female, there is purpose why u were born into ur family.
Thank you everyone. I feel this is where God wants us to stop this night.

Lets pray
Father we that u for helping us in defining our purpose in line with u, God we trust u to us be conscious that life is really about living for you alone not ourselves. Thank you for d answered prayers. In Jesus name we have prayed. AND THE WHOLE HOUSE SAYS A POWERFUL AND PURPOSEFUL AMEN.
