GOD’S NATURE: GOD IS LOVE

Let’s Pray: Heavenly father we exalt u for a new month. Thank u for taking good care of us all, Thank u for each and every one of us for ur love upon us. Father we pray that as we listen to ur word, teach us more of ur nature and help us to see d real u the way u really are in Jesus name. We discard every form of religious illusion about who u are in Jesus name. For in Jesus name we have prayed, amen!

Tonight we will looking at d topic GOD IS LOVE. So we will be looking at God as Love.
Let's start with 1john 4:7-21 – ‘Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
I want u to patiently read that verses with keen interest and spiritual ears, I pray for enlightenment of our understanding in Jesus name. Verse 8 is our key verse here.
First how do we define love? Dictionary can give different types and explanations on d meaning of love
But in Christianity kingdom: d definition of Love is God. There is no iota of hatred in him.
It is not that he will choose not to hate, It is that he just can't hate, nothing at all could bring or breed hatred in him, no one can do something that will generate hatred from within him because it was never part of his nature, never will it be.
There are gods on earth who has hatred. When u chose to disobey them or reject them, they could hate u for life But our God is very different.
He is incomparable. No other gods can relate with him because they were never from him.
D reason he created man was to prove his loving nature on us.
He has been loving and forever will He.
Y did he not command d earth to bring us forth?
Its because we won't be a show of love talkless of showing love.
He created us IN HIS OWN IMAGE,
His image captures everything about him including his love.
The reason we are alive and became Christians is because God's love is powerful and evidence on love.
We now know him by His nature which is love.
The nature is just him, u cant get a perfect love from anyone because part of them lies some iota of hatred lies within.
GOD IS D ONLY ONE WHOSE NATURE IS ALWAYS TO LOVE LOVE AND LOVE.
Let's check John 3:16.
"For God so loved the world..."
Can u see? He loved d world so much that he could come to world as a man, walk on our dusty streets, was hungry, was tired, was humiliated and d likes, he also went through pains and sufferings even death.
Just to save us all.
D reason he went through those things was not just only to help us make heaven,
Actually he was indirectly helping himself by helping us come back to him. (Please don’t misquote me)
When we died to sin, he never give up on us.
Under normal circumstances, when u create a robot to relate with and he went astray or he is not fulfilling his purpose, u can give up on him and one day destroy him, since u can create another one that will serve that purpose better.
But God was not like that
Instead of utterly destroying us and starting a new creature, he decided to find a way to bring us back to himself.
He prepared for us even before we ate d fruit and died.
He made plans and strategize a perfect plan that seems foolish but wiser than d wisest person on earth.
All these he has done just to bring us back in fellowship with him.
It is all because he love us, its because love is his nature.
We are d expression on his love.
David said “who art man that u are mindful of and son of man that u visit? U made him a little lower than d angels, and yet u HAVE CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOUR”
WE ARE THE EXPRESSION OF HIS LOVE.
Romans 5:8 – ‘But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’
While we were yet sinners, God loved us; meaning that Adam's sin never threw us away from God's love because that God is a love that is unconditional.
We do nothing to attain his love, we will never do anything that will kill his love in us.
If u hear anyone saying when u sin u fall out of God's love, it is incorrect, it is unscriptural therefore disregard such information.
The love shown upon us is not as a result of what we did or we are doing, it is HIS NATURE.
And this love is strong and potent enough to withstand any form of disappointment no matter how big the sin is. His love can withstand it.
If everything about God is alive, definitely his love is alive as well.
God is not someone waiting for u to sin so that he could start counting it and on d final day will say I know u not.
God is not an imaginary old man with white beard and white hair wearing white robes and holding a cane, ready to beat us when we err from his instruction. Because that is d mindset most of us grew up with, we feel he is one old man up there in d sky, looking at us, loving when we do his will and furious when we err.
He is not a bias god who loves his children and hate d unbelievers.
He loves us d same way he loves the Muslims and d other religions people, d only differences is they av not realized that love but u have so the love becomes stronger on you.
Finally I will be closing with Romans 8:35-39 – ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our lord.

Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge be­tween us and Christ's love for us? There is no way! Not trou­ble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not home­lessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We're sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I'm absolutely convinced that noth­ing—noth­ing living or dead, an­gel­ic or demon­ic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or un­thinkable—absolutely noth­ing can get be­tween us and God's love because of the way that Jesus our Mas­ter has embraced us.
Can u see now?
The reason is very simple
Its because that's Him.
His nature, His real personality
His life, his Love.
When u make mistakes, don't ever think God has hated u because of what u av done.
He is not controlled by ur actions but rather he does things according to His NATURE.
So if his nature is love then when hatred show face, it simply means God is not involved.
Don't try to guess God's feelings about u per time, just remember that GOD IS LOVE
HE LOVED US SO MUCH, MORE THAN THE ANGELS HE LOVES US.
MORE THAN ANY OTHER CREATURE IN EXISTENCE HE LOVES US.
Honestly I still think that God loves us more than Himself.
I hope we are blessed! This is where today's teaching will pause till another time.
I believe we have gotten some truth about who God really his now.
So I believe we can learn new things, relearn some truths u have known unlearn some errors and half truths.
Let's pray!
Father thank u for your love. Thank u for making us d expression of ur love. We are loving u more right now because u first love us. We are excited because Love is u nature. We exalt ur real nature as being a God of love. Blessed b ur name forever. Lord help us we pray thee to keep d mindset that u are love, that u are d definition of love so that we will love to do things your way in Jesus name. In Jesus name we have prayed. Amennnnnnn

THE HOLY-GHOST-RIDER By Awotiku Akinlayo David I could remember vividly one of the famous American movies in 2007 was Ghost-Rider. The movie portrayed Nicholas Cage who is always possessed at night with a demonic spirit of fire. Everything about him would carry fire, his appearance, his face, his suit, his weapons and even his bike will be burning with fire.
