Mummy Pelumi: Love is someone u cherish but lust to abuse

Blessing: Love is wen d person love u unconditionally, while lust is loving some for a reason, for a purpose and d moment such person achieve such purpose he or she will disappear.

Mummy Pelumi: But some youth nowadays they are have lust to each other they we call it love, Why?

Kemisola ASF: Love is a divinity nature of God, wen display by man in an abusive way, it becomes lust

Royal: Love is a complex set of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs associated with strong feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth, and respect for another person, While Lust is a psychological force producing intense wanting for an object, or circumstance fulfilling the emotion.

Kemisola ASF: Love is spiritually

Love is spiritual, it takes spirit to love,

So if u aren't spiritual, u are after lust, no sitting on d fence

Kemisola ASF: Our parents can never love us unconditionally, yet it's not lust

Kemisola ASF: Hummmm, but it's conditional yet not lust

ADMIN: How is it conditional? Why did our mummy love us?

Eniola Asac: Thanks for today's topic and my prayer is that maritally we shall never miss it in life. Firstly every area of our lives we need follow His instructions not doing our own will.

The topic is love, small but mighty. The Yoruba's says that ‘ife se oun gbogbo tan (Love does everything).’ When we have the spirit of love in us we won't be bothered about anything in fact your mind will be at.

So about the question the different between love and lust. Is just that you are asking that what is the different between GOD and Satan because if you have him in you dinning and winning with you, you will want to love and care for everybody around you. Okay for instance when Jesus Christ enter into Zacchaeus house a great sinner people were amazed that how could He do that but He display what is called love. But for the word lust it is conditional because you love because of reason and when you achieve your aim that is all no more love. And our GOD is not like that because if He's like that we won't be alive.

John 3 :16 has said it all that matters: For GOD so love the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes  in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life. KJV. Also He told Noah that He will not use water to destroy the earth again. So brothers and sisters in the Lord GOD himself is love so let demonstrate it for the world to see because we are the salt, light and word for the unbelievers.

I want to leave us with this Many waters cannot quench our love 'cos love never falls, love believe all things, Hope in all things, Endure all things.

Akinwole: Lust: a no-strings-attached relationship in which both parties were there merely for the satisfaction of their desire.

Love: A feeling of strong or constant affection for a person

Sogo Omotaroye: To me... love cannot be explained it's a replica of God and no one can define God in full

Akinwole: The difference is actually intertwined in two key words: Interest and urgency.

I do know that if you are interested in a particular thing or someone you will embrace the positive and hope (have faith in God and no other being) that the negative will get transformed as the as the day goes by (patience)

If you your desire is as a result of urgency,  then I think all you will do is to embrace the positive (that which ministers to your need)  only. 

That's selfishness.

What am I trying to point out?

Love as a result of kind interest will bring about faith, hope, patience, longsuffering, and what have you

Lust on the other hand as a result of urgency will first bring about selfishness which will in turn breed lackadaisical attitude, hopelessness, impatience and what have you.

Favour EACL: Love: An intense of feeling of affection and care towards another person

Akinwole: Looking at my understanding about love, the only being that fit into scope of my definition is God. If we are actually His image then we should also share that school of thought

Favour EACL: Lust... To me is when wen u demand urgently for something without having faith n hope

Akinwole: Differences

Love is patient

Lust is impatient

Love hopes

Lust is hopelessness

Love is consideration

Lust is selfishness

Love is faith

Lust is faithlessness

Love is interest

Lust is urgent desire

Love invests

Lust invest not

Love want to see you grow in all aspect

Lust don't. And so on…

Akinwole: It might at first but as the day goes by the difference will surely be revealed

Sogo Omotaroye: Sure! But is there difference between infatuation and lust

Akinwole: Infatuation to inspire with a foolish or extravagant love or admiration

I want to believe that infatuation is an embodiment of lust.

I can also say that infatuation might be the early stage of lust.

Since infatuation is accompanied with foolishness then it can be traced to lust

ADMIN: Honestly to me infatuation is a sign of love feelings when u don't know what love really means or entails, that's y it is common mostly among young immature youths.

Sogo Omotaroye: Infatuation is also important

Infatuation is love at first sight... it now depends on how mature one is to develop it... either to love or lust... a good example; Isaac

Akinwole: However, it can also be a precursor or indicator to love of which if it is not properly tailored can lead to lust.

ADMIN’S CONCLUSION: Love is not just love by name, it is a sign of God, God is love and love is God.

Any so called love that does not fit in to God's kind of Love is LUST.

Love being unconditional is not just a type of love, it is what makes love love.

Love is a short form of unconditional love.

When u love someone or something, it must never be conditioned, u love ur phone because it helps u to call, u love your pets because there is something its doing for u. Those are just normal natural love, it is not real, it is not true, d day those thing u loved disappoint u, u tend to hate them.

If u have truly love them, then there is nothing they can do that will annoy u from them because ur love will overwhelm anger and hatred.

That's d kind of love God is and had for us.

He loves us so much that he loved us before we ever existed

God's love for us is unconditional, so any other love that is conditional is not love, it is a BIG LUST.

However, lust can be simplified,

We obviously might not want to call it list due to d fact that u truly mean ur love, some are even ignorant of this kind of love self, they felt is unconditional but later on they discovered it is actually conditional.

That's y we find it difficult to love our enemies,

See, lemme tell u something: Love is not love when there is no opportunity to hate

THE BEST TIME U CAN KNOW U TRULY LOVE IS WHEN THERE IS ENOUGH AND VISIBLE CHANCE AND OPPORTUNITY TO HATE YET U STILL LOVE.

No wonder we fall for men on the altar not men with private altar.

We fall for lady-soloists ministering with their talents and not lady who have a personal time with God in affecting her ministrations.

The problem is we fell for anointing. We fell for good voice, we fell for those working for God and not working with God.

It is clear that ur love is actually conditional because it has a reason of why u love that person.

God is the one who loves you, why not love God back by loving others.

Give to those u know u can't expect anything from in future and not to those who is sure to repay you later.

Lust should not be common among Christians, love is our nature so let's love unconditionally especially our enemies.

Love them with all ur heart not out of pity.

So, d major different between love and lust is d conditionality. Every other differences fall other this.

Phillips ASF: In other words, you cannot love without God.

ADMIN: And yes LOVE IS SPIRITUAL.

Phillips ASF: Often times, it is easy to love your family. But when it comes to loving enemy, that's the most difficult thing on earth to do.

I have even heard Christians who say loving one's enemy is mission impossible!

ADMIN: Then they are yet to encounter love,

Love from parent to children is not complicated actually, it will be an overstatement if we call it lust.

However, it is not the unconditional love we are talking about.

It is actually individualistic, I can't say if my parent's love for me is conditional, lemme become wayward and let's see if they will still love me, if they did then it is successful

However, if a parent is yet to encounter God, such can NEVER love children correctly.

Yoruba will say 'Omo laso mi' meaning, children are my cloth.

They cover me and save my family, they keep d family name for generations. So its a conditional thing, d reason dey love children is because they have seen a successor of their family lineage.

Yes they can easily say its love, we ourselves will fully and wholeheartedly back it up and support it but there is yet some minor conditions.

It is lust but we can't present it as lust to everyone or for every parents.

It can create a bad thought about parents in us, lets just assume it is love and accept their love the way it is, either conditionally or not, it is natural for parents to love their children but God is the only father who loved us with no condition.

U can see self, God loved the world so much that he gave up his own son

D only person God cherished most is His son but if he could love the world than His son.

Here is d reason

There is no opportunity to hate his son because it never existed in his own nature and heavenly environment so his son never did anything that will get him angry but there is a 100% reason why he should hate d world, a sinner is an automatic God's enemy because devil is in charge of them.

God loved Satan but Satan rejected God's love.

Yet he so loved the world that he could sacrifice what he loved most that ever exist just to save the world from condemnation.

A love to the enemies is greater than a love to family.

How can u define your own way of love?

Is it conditional or not?

Can u proof u really love God in d way u love your brethren?

U know, its very normal to love God, even the infidels loved God naturally because they know he can't do anything that will make them hate him but this neighbors and enemies that u are seeing, do u love them?

God is Love and Love is God

Have u met Love?

Can u love when there is great opportunity to hate?
