DONT CALL ME PASTOR By Awotiku Akinlayo David

DON’T CALL ME PASTOR. By Awotiku Akinlayo David

This dispensation of time is filled with many Christians that are proud of their spiritual stagnancy. They enjoyed being babes in Christianity. It has become a normal phenomenon to be a church goer or join one unit and still be spiritually stagnant, the same level he joined the unit is still the same level he was spiritually since 10 or 5 years he got born again even till date.

This category of Christians are so proud of this that they always assume there is a special grace for those who are passionate in preaching, teaching and praying vigorously and consistently, therefore those ones are referred to as the pastors while they are the members and spiritual children.

It is so disheartening that when you talk with them about the bible or anything that pertains to spiritual things, they will start flattering you with different spiritual titles like ‘pastor, (they will even drag it), and they’ll go paaasstorrr, apostle, maaan of Gad(not God), Paaapa, and many big spiritual names. They will call you these names so sweet that if you are not careful you will be flattered and might stop the conversation and start thinking high of yourself than them.

If you happen to belong to this category of Christian, let me use this opportunity to beseech you:
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t be ready to listen to any scriptural teachings that comes from me.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t go back to the scriptures to find out or confirm every teachings that come your way either by me or any man of God.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t give yourself to diligent study of the Bible.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t meditate on the word of God and allow Him to live through you.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t take spiritual activities serious and be diligent with it especially if you won’t sit down and learn during any church teachings.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you will take kingdom business with levity and show flippant attitudes.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t acknowledge and believe whatever the bible says in context.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t desire to grow spiritually.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you will not take to any corrections or follow the doctrines I give to you from the bible in context.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t pray fervently, consistently, continuously and diligently.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t read the bible again and again, then take notice of things therein and ask questions for clarification about anything that seems confusing or contradictory in the Bible.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you are not ready to take time to think on every word I speak to you in line with the Bible.
-        Don’t call me pastor if all you see is my spiritual height and you are not making any attempt to grow spiritually.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you are not ready to be devoted to God and take Him as your highest priority.
-        Don’t call me pastor if you won’t be passionate about the souls perishing, then desire to reach out to them with the gospel and save them.
-        Don’t call pastor if you won’t be desperate to get more knowledge of Christ from the Bible.
-        Don’t call me pastor if all you want from me is prayers and yet you are not ready to pray on yourself and for yourself.
-        In fact, don’t even dare call me pastor if you are still proud of your spiritual stagnancy and you can boldly declare it outside that you are a spiritual babe (Don’t you have shame?).

I am saying that you should grow up spiritually and stop remaining as spiritual babe. No one gives birth to a baby and desire that the baby should remain a baby despite the beauty of the baby, everyone will desire that the baby grows up. Every Christians are ministers of God, either as pastors or teachers, evangelists, apostles or as prophets. 2Cor 5:18-20, 1Pet. 2:9, Eph. 4:11-12, Matt. 28:18.

Jesus gave us the instruction to go out and make disciples, to go out and teach all nations, therefore stand up to your duty as a minister of God that will impart this generation and affect lives positively.
If peradventure you are not ready to do at least 70% of these aforementioned points, I doubt if you are really a Christian, hence DON’T CALL ME PASTOR.

I call you blessed!
King_Hosanna loves y’all.
