THE PRAYING PLAYER by Awotiku Akinlayo David Some mindsets has been generalized about instrumentalists in this dispensation of time, it is either they are not born again, or some are not fervent in prayers while some are not worded, they are just bunch of unserious and immature Christians. The assumption is obviously visible among most church instrumentalists. However this article is mainly for born again instrumentalists. Correcting the mindset of people about instrumentalists is the first thing. It has become a modus operandi that people assume that most instrumentalists are not spiritual because we just keep playing instruments when prayers are going on during a concert or program (I’m an organist). Many will be on social media when sermons are going on while some will even walk out of the auditorium to discuss in groups outside and come in when it is time to sing. Problems, faults and tough times are inevitable in virtually all marriages. (My own family is unique and we are still having the best time ever. I’m not being bias about this though). They are things that should be subjected under the control of the parents especially the father. Times without number abuses come from either of the parents against each other (in the children’s presence sometimes). Hence it is normal for problems to show forth in any family at all but they are things that contribute to the uniqueness of the family. (Your family is also unique in its own in that it has you).
